Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home is a long term care
facility licensed by the Department of Health to
provide nursing and personal care services to
eligible individuals .
Nursing care at Port Hawkesbury Nursing Home is
provided around the clock by Registered Nurses,
Licensed Practical Nurses and Personal Care
Workers who have been specifically educated to
care for the needs of our residents.
Upon admission to the home a nursing
assessment is started to evaluate the
capabilities and needs of the resident. An
individualized care plan is developed and used
as a guide when care is being provided.
Residents are encouraged to use their abilities
and maintain as much independence as possible.
